Theme – Strengthening Digital Inclusion and Resilience in Tanzania
Background; The Tanzania School of Internet Governance (TzSIG) is a capacity-building initiative aimed at equipping young Tanzanians with the knowledge and skills needed to actively participate in national, regional, and global internet governance discussions. Organized by ISOC Tanzania and the Zaina Foundation, TzSIG fosters a new generation of internet governance leaders by providing hands-on learning experiences, expert-led training sessions, and opportunities to engage in policy debates and decision making on Internet freedom in Tanzania. The program covers key topics such as digital rights, Internet governance, cybersecurity, internet policies, and emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence, ensuring that participants are well-prepared to leverage and advocate for an open, secure, and inclusive internet in Tanzania and beyond.
TSIG aims to build a new generation of informed and engaged Internet governance leaders, ISOC Tanzania and Zaina Foundation proudly host the Tanzania School of Internet Governance (TSIG) 2025. Modeled after global best practices, including the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) and the Africa School on Internet Governance (AfriSIG), TSIG provides young Tanzanians with the knowledge, skills, and networks needed to shape national, regional, and global digital policy discussions.
