As we wrap up 2023 Zaina Foundation continues to be the Champion Non Profit Organisation on Promote the State of Digital Rights and Inclusion in Tanzania. We created safe space for at risk-women in Tanzania, promoted and protected individuals rights and collaborated with partners and other stakeholders in advancing civic space in Tanzania. Digital Safety Awareness to Marginalized maasai women in Arusha
Maasai Community in Tanzania has witnessed a growth in digital technology adoption, with more maasai women engaging in online activities. However Maasai women are faced with the security risks and threats including surveillance, data theft, phishing and other digital threats. Due to these challenges faced by Maasai women, Zaina Foundation has seen the crucial to ensure safety and privacy of users by conducting digital security training to them in October, 2023 to educate maasai women on how to secure their communication, practicing secure digital tools and how to overcome threats.
